Dear Diary,
Several weeks have passed since I attended the Living Beyond Breast Cancer #HearMyVoice outreach program. I already raved about the phenomenal advocates I met but did I mention the staff? They are a warm, kind and dedicated group. Diary, they give so much. There are hundreds of attendees, and I’ll bet that not one of them would say that their needs were not met.
Now the work begins. My goal is to educate the general public about Metastatic Breast Cancer, what it’s like to live with this disease and the need to allocate more research dollars to find a cure. My project will involve legislation in some way, I have a lot to learn to I pinpoint what I want to do.
Before I sign off, I have to say how much I love the group picture! On challenging days it will be a way to remind myself that I am not alone.
Linda
