Every year, Mile One Automotive raises money for breast cancer research. This year, the Heritage Volkswagen Parkville store decided to try a new type of event.

The store held a car show on Oct. 9 on Harford Road. There were cool cars, food, door samples and more.

"Famous Dave’s has been a great supporter, they’re coming out and doing the food complementary," said Melissa Cole, a saleswoman at Heritage Volkswagen Parkville. "The participants have obviously paid to get into the show, those funds will go to breast cancer. Our whole staff came in today, we came in at 7 a.m. to set up, it’s something that we’re proud of."

There weren’t just cars on display — attendees could dunk the general manager of the store in a dunk tank as well.

This year, Mile One Automotive aims to raise $325,000 for breast cancer research.
