INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Postal Service is reminding the public to purchase the Breast Cancer Research Stamp to help the cause. Those who purcahse the stamp will help raise funds for breast cancer research.
The 60-cent stamps sold in sheets of 20, are available year-round. They are available at Post Offices nationwide, online at usps.com or by phone at 1.800.STAMP.24.
As of Sept., the sale of more than one billion stamps has raised more than $83 million for breast cancer research since the stamp was created in 1998.
In 2015, President Obama signed Public Law No. 114-99 that extended the sale of the Breast Cancer Research Stamp through Dec. 31, 2019.
